Muhammad Jalal - Host of The Thinking Muslim Podcast

Muhammad Jalal is and educator specialising in politics, he founded and hosts of The Thinking Muslim podcast. He regularly delivers lectures and courses on politics and how to navigate political ideologies within an Islamic framework. He writes regularly for a number of journals including Muslim Matters and Traversing Tradition as well as his own substack http://jalalayn.substack.com

Riaz Hasan - Researcher and Data Analytics

Riaz Hassan is a writer and a co-host on The Thinking Muslim podcast with a particular focus on Economics. He has previously written on China, Mutations in Capitalism, Artificial Intelligence and Short Selling from an Islamic perspective. He has worked in a senior capacity for over 20 years in consultancy and innovation. He has a Bachelors degree from The University of Warwick and a Masters from University College London.

Imam Ahaz Atif - Researcher

Mawlana Ahaz B. Atif is a graduate of the seven-year 'Alimiyyah program at Darul Uloom Zakariyya, South Africa. He further specialized in Arabic literature, poetry, and translation. He is currently serving as an imam at Atlanta, Georgia while working toward a Bachelor's in Middle East Studies at Georgia State University. He hopes to directly explore and research classical Islamic works to help develop Islamic thought as an alternative to liberalism.

Johaer Jilani - Researcher

Johaer Jilani is a graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy and Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He has an interest in Islamic political movements and American politics, and he is passionate about community work and organizing.

Ahmed Serag, an Egyptian Canadian analyst with experience in market research and analytics

Musab Muhammad - Administrator

Musab studied IT at university, and is currently working in the tech sector in London. He is involved in the administrative side of Thinking Muslim.

Asma - Branding Advisor

Asma is a solution marketing strategist with a background in market research, specialising in Japanese and Korean consumer insights.

Mariam Khalid - Senior coordinator

Mariam studied law at university, and has had experience working in employment and immigration law. She is currently assisting The Thinking Muslim in an administrative capacity, coordinating between different projects and teams.

Asiya - Social Media Manager

Asiya is a Queen Mary University graduate with a degree in Comparative Literature. What started as a hobby in social media has now become a passion she aims to refine and use purposefully. She’s dedicated to leveraging her skills for Ummatic impact, using digital platforms to foster activism and change.
